Introduction
My mum has been a mortgage broker for 20 years. I grew up watching her work, client calls, paperwork, emailing.
Start of 2026, I left school after a term of Year 11. I wanted to build things, and I wasn't going to learn how sitting in a classroom.
I've got my Cert IV in finance and work with my Mum three days a week. So I built Drafty, I'm 17, and I'm from Hobart.
Objective
That time taught me how a broker actually writes to clients, the tone, the phrasing, the real life knowledge. It also showed me where she lost hours. The same enquiry emails, worded slightly differently, answered the same way, every single day.
That isn't a people problem. It's a repetition problem, and the kind of problem software should solve.
